Horizons Hub (formerly Horizons Community Learning) has provided accessible learning and activites to adults of all ages across Hastings and St Leonards since 1996. Horizons began as a community development project funded by the University of Sussex and has grown to become a Community Interest Company with a successful track record of working with local adults from across Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill.

Horizons Hub was a social enterprise, our mission was; 'Working with local communities to improve wellbeing and reduce inequalities.' Our vision was; Horizons strives to develop services that provide the right help and support to enable people to thrive.' Horizons promotes, plans and delivers activities, services and aspirational adult learning. Our role was supporting communities, developing skills, helping individuals to develop, enjoy and achieve.

We offer confidential advice, information and impartial guidance about health & wellbeing services, benefits, training courses, and volunteering Horizons Hub also offers a signposting and advocacy service and pre-employment advice and workplace preparation.

Our offer includes a range of  activities, learning opportunities and services.

Volunteering and work experience opportunities play an important part in helping people get back to work. Many of our service users have found employment following courses that have involved work placements arranged by Horizons.

We were a partner organisation in the North St. Leonards Health & Wellbeing Hub, working with FSN, Optivo and Hollington Community Centre. We offer a Healthy Lifestyles Champion training programme as well as activities that encourage ways to increase confidence, health and wellbeing.

Unfortunately, due to the ever pervasive economic environment of the past few years Horizons will terminate our provision of courses on the 24th of May 2018 and will cease trading as of June 2018.
